PRIORITY POINT SYSTEM
ALEXANDER-THARPE FUND, INC.
The priority point system used by the Alexander-Tharpe Fund, Inc. is intended to promote fairness, benefit individuals and personal circumstances as well as the Athletic Association and the entire Institute, and reward the loyalty of longtime supporters.
A-T Unrestricted, Facility Initiative Gifts
2 priority points per $100
Annual Giving Example:
A contributor giving $1,000 (Heisman level) will receive 20 priority points.
Special Note on Pledges:
Pledges of $25,000 or more that are paid in equal installments over a maximum five-year period receive 1/2 point per $100 for the initial pledge and the remaining 1 1/2 points upon receipt of the pledge payments.
Pledge Example:
A contributor that makes a pledge of $25,000 over a five-year period will receive 125 priority points for the initial pledge and 75 points for each annual pledge payment of $5,000.
Total priority points upon completion of pledge = 500.
TECH Fund
1 priority point per $100(Tradition, Education, Character, and Heart) is a per-seat donation program for preferred seats in Bobby Dodd Stadium and Alexander Memorial Coliseum. Gifts to the TECH Fund will be used to support the annual operational costs associated with sustaining a highly competitive athletics program at Georgia Tech. This includes contributions for suites, courtside seats, in basketball and club seats for football.

Endowment
1.5 points per $100; Donor will receive additional 1 point per $100 on annual withdrawals from endowment if it is a named endowment funded by the donor.
Pledge Example:
$125,000 pledge will receive 1/2 point per $100 on pledge and 1 point per $100 on each pledge payment if paid at a minimum of annual equal installments over a maximum five-year period.
Total priority points upon completion of pledge = 1875.
Planned Gifts
Revocable Planned Gifts - regardless of allocation or age1/2 point per $100 on the present value of gift
Present value is determined by the IRS discount rate and age of donor(s) as calculated by GT Development Gift Planning office.
Irrevocable Planned Gifts - regardless of allocation for donor(s) age 65 and over
1 point per $100 on the present value of gift
Irrevocable Planned Gifts - regardless of allocation for donor(s) under age 65
1/2 point per $100 on the present value of gift
Present value is determined by the IRS discount rate and age of donor(s) as calculated by GT Development Gift Planning office.

2 points per consecutive* year of purchasing football season tickets
2 points per consecutive* year of purchasing men's basketball season tickets
1 point per consecutive* year of purchasing baseball season tickets
1 point per consecutive* year of purchasing volleyball season tickets
1 point per consecutive* year of purchasing women's basketball season tickets
10 points (one time only) for graduating from Georgia Tech
10 points (one time only) for lettering in a sport at Georgia Tech
*Consecutive refers to continuous years of contributing and/or purchasing season tickets. The calculation for consecutive year points begins with the most recent year and counts backwards. Missed years will result in a loss of consecutive year status and points earned.
Note: Consecutive year status of contributing to the Alexander-Tharpe Fund is maintained by making donations via A-T unrestricted, TECH Fund, A-T restricted, sport-specific, pledge payments, Life Membership.
