Brian Howland joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association in September 2017 as an athletic trainer intern in the sports medicine department. At Tech, he will be working with the men’s tennis team and assisting with football.
He came to The Flats after serving as an intern at Binghamton University where he worked with the cross country and baseball teams for one year in 2016-17.
Howland also worked as an undergraduate as a summer camp athletic training intern at the University of Notre Dame, before working at Guthrie Occupational Medicine and with Guthrie Sports Medicine in Sayre, Pennsylvania after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Alfred University in May 2015.
He went on to earn his master's degree in exercise science with a concentration in rehabilitation science from California University of Pennsylvania in August 2017.
Howland is NATABOC certified and is certified in both First Aid and CPR. Also licensed in New York and Pennsylvania, he is also an NASE Certified Speed Specialist and a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist.
