Mindy Hyde is the Director of Development for the Alexander-Tharpe Fund. She began working in the A-T Fund as an intern in the summer of 1998 and was hired full-time in September 1998.
In her current role, she is responsible for fundraising in the state of Florida, mid-Atlantic region, and certain cities in Georgia, Alabama, and Texas. She oversees the Athletic Endowment Program and manages the Women's Initiative for Athletics. She is also the liaison to the swimming & diving and women's basketball programs for sport-specific fundraising.
She graduated with a general business degree as an honors graduate in 1997 from the University of Georgia. She later earned her master's degree in sport management from Georgia in 1998. She was a four-year starter at goalkeeper in soccer, playing her first two years at Charleston Southern (1993-94) and her final two years at Georgia (1995-96). She was a team captain and team MVP in 1994 at Charleston Southern and a two-year captain for the Bulldogs, while serving as the soccer representative on the Student Athletic Council at UGA.
