Shoshanna Engel joined the Georgia Tech compliance office in September 2013 after working as the assistant provost for student-athlete compliance at Tulane since July 2011.
At Tulane, Engel supervised all aspects of the compliance program for 16 varsity sports and provided comprehensive rules education to over 300 student-athletes and more than 110 affiliated staff members.
Prior to her post at Tulane, Engel served nearly four years as the assistant director of athletics for compliance at Yale University. With the Bulldogs, Engel worked with 35 varsity sports and over 800 student-athletes.
Engel also served on the compliance staff at both North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina before returning to Yale, her alma mater. She is member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) Legislation & Governance Committee and while at Tulane, she was a member of the Conference USA Legislative Liaison Committee.
A graduate of Yale University, Engel was a standout gymnast for the Bulldogs. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science in May 2003 and went on to earn her master's degree in sport administration from the University of North Carolina in May 2007.
