2017-18 (Senior): Match-by-Match

Had senior season cut short by a season-ending injury … made final appearance on March 3 against No. 45 Georgia State … despite the shortened year, Yun battled to a 5-5 overall record and 4-3 dual match mark … finished his collegiate career with the most dramatic matches all season at home … after leading 3-1, 45th-ranked Georgia State tied the match up with Yun’s match remaining on No. 6 against Bailey Showers … after splitting the first two sets, 6-4, 5-7, Yun swung the momentum of the match by taking a 40-40 deuce point in the 11th game to go up 6-5 in the penultimate set before capturing the match for Georgia Tech, giving the Jackets their first win over a nationally ranked foe since May 12, 2017 (4-1 over No. 39 Minnesota in NCAA Regional) … finished 3-6 in doubles, winning his lone ACC match with fellow senior Elijah Melendez … Yun/Melendez took a key doubles match against Miami’s Nile Clark/Pablo Aycart (March 2), 6-2 to help Tech nab its first ACC win of the season … Named to All-ACC Academic team.

2016-17 (Junior): Match-by-Match

Registered a 21-17 record overall in singles play with a 12-8 mark in dual match play … Played primarily at the No. 5 and 6 spots for the Yellow Jackets throughout the season.

2015-16 (Sophomore): Match-by-Match

Saw action in 12 ACC matches (including the ACC Championship) after playing in only two pre-conference contests, and compiled a 7-5 record against the conference (9-7 overall) … Won his first four ACC starts against No. 7 Wake Forest, No. 57 Duke, Louisville and No. 27 NC State … Defeated No. 83 Edoardo Tessaro from 40th-ranked Virginia Tech in the Jackets’ final home match, and won his first ACC Championship match against Louisville … Played anywhere from No. 3 to 6, but had his best success at No. 5 (4-1) … Played his last six matches of the spring at No. 4, splitting them, and posted a 15-17 singles mark for the year … Went 13-6 in doubles, winning all four contests in dual matches playing at No. 3 with different partners.

2014-15 (Freshman): Match-by-Match

Played in four dual matches this spring, winning three of those when inserted into the No. 5 or 6 spot, and was 2-1 in dual-match doubles … 8-11 overall in singles, 7-5 in doubles … Teamed with Elijah Melendez to win the consolation draw in the B division at the Georgia Tech Invitational… Went 3 and 2 as an individual at the Bulldog Scramble.

2014 Summer Highlights: reached the quarterfinals of the Tuscaloosa ITA Summer Circuit event in doubles but lost in the round of 32 in singles … He went on to win twice in the consolation draw.

Junior Tennis: Has gone 57-24 overall in 2013-14 (27-12 in 2014 only), 5-9 against Blue Chip players, 11-13 vs. 5-star and 27-2 vs. 4-star … Among his wins was a straight-set win over No. 29 Matthew Mendez and he reached the quarterfinals of the 2013 Bullfrog BG18-16 Designated event … Reached the finals of the USTA Closed Regional event in February of 2014 in Mobile, Ala. … Won the Southern Level 1 in doubles at Hilton Head in 2014 … Top 12 at Arizona Winter Nationals in 2013.
