Southeast Cheerleading Showcase an opportunity for Georgia Tech, colleges to woo, wow recruits
Katie Hodges has been Georgia Tech's head cheerleading coach since May 2011.
A four-year letterwinner in varsity cheerleading at Georgia Tech, she was
an NCA all-American, varsity cheerleading captain, and a Georgia Tech
strength & conditioning iron athlete.
Her years of cheerleading experience outside of Georgia Tech include direction, instruction and choreography through United Cheerleading Camps throughout the southeast, instruction through private camps nationwide, NCA and UCA high school camps and NCA college camp participation.
Most recently, Hodges was selected to join an elite staff to perform and
instruct in Costa Rica through Cheer Evolution, a non-profit organization
benefitting cheerleading internationally
A former investment banker and small business owner, Hodges worked full time at Georgia Tech as a development assistant for the Alexander-Tharpe Fund from 2012-13.
Since 2013, Hodges has worked at SunTrust Bank in Atlanta, starting out as
a business planner in the Wealth Services department, before moving up to
vice president in 2015. She currently serves as the senior vice president
–relationship manager for SunTrust.
She graduated from Georgia Tech in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in business management. Her husband, Wes, is also a Georgia Tech alumnus and a former Yellow Jackets baseball player.
