Action Continues At NCAA Championhip

AUSTIN, Texas – Action continued Friday at the NCAA Men’s Swimming Championship in Austin, Texas and all six Georgia Tech swimmers swam events for the Yellow Jackets.

Tech posted a 23rd-place finish in the 800 free relay, finished 29th in the 200 medley relay, while Andrew Kosic and Nico van Duijn were 29th and 30th, respectively, in the 100 fly.

Tech’s 800 free relay of Kosic, Declan Poorman, Mats Westergren and van Duijn put down a time of 6:27.71, which was good for a 23rd-place finish. Poorman had Tech’s best split of the relay, posting a time of 1:36.29 on the second leg.

Kosic and van Duijn teamed with Ricky Lehner and Taylor Wilson on the 200 medley relay, and the Jackets were clocked in 1:28.14, which was 29th.

Kosic (47.06) and van Duijn (47.09) finished 29th and 30th in the 100 fly.

Both the 100 free and 200 fly are on the docket for Saturday, with Kosic in the 100 free and van Duijn in the 200 fly.
