Georgia Tech swimming & diving will open up the 2017-18 regular season next Friday at home versus Pittsburgh at 3 p.m.

Before Tech: A three-year letterwinner having missed his junior season due to transferring high schools ... Competed at Duluth as a freshman and sophomore in 2013-14 and 2014-15, before transferring to Peachtree Ridge where he swam his senior season ... Ranked as high as No. 5 overall in the state of Georgia for the class of 2017 ... Set the state record in the 200 breast at the age of 12 ... Also set the county record in the 50 breast when he was 15 ... A 2017 high school all-American in the 100 breast his senior season ... Took second-place overall in the 100 breast (55.55) at the 2017 Georgia High School Association 6-7 A State Swimming Championships ... His time of 55.55 set a new Gwinnett County all-time and meet record in the 100 breast event ... Also finished fifth in the 200 IM (1:51.74) at the 2017 state championship meet ... Placed third overall in the 200 breast (2:25.25) and finished eighth in the 100 breast (1:05.65) at the 2016 Speedo Champions Series in Nashville, Tenn. ...
