RALEIGH, N.C. - After more than a month away from competition, the Georgia Tech swimming & diving teams are back in the pool Saturday at NC State at 11 a.m. The Yellow Jackets will face both the Wolfpack and Florida State in Tech's 2013 ACC finale.

Tech has been training for over a month, recently returning from its annual trip in Florida. The original schedule called for the Jackets to battle Florida Atlantic and Penn in Boca Raton, but the meet was cancelled due to facility issues.

"This will be a key meet for us," said head coach Courtney Shealy Hart. "Looking at the times, both Florida State and NC State are swimming very fast right now. We've put in a lot of work since the holidays and now it's time to see if that will pay of for us."

The last time the Jackets were in competition was the Georgia Tech Invitational in early December, a meet in which the men posted a handful of NCAA "B" cuts and claimed second, while the women finished fourth.

The men have seven NCAA "B" cuts to date, with three coming from Andrew Kosic. The talented sophomore is currently second in the 100 free (43.62), fourth in the ACC in the 50 free (20.01) and fourth in the 100 back (48.35). Kosic trails only Seminoles in the sprint free events.

Matthew Vaughan is tied for the ACC lead in the 100 breast time of 54.72, and shares the top spot in the conference with Florida State's Jared Pike.

Also among the ACC leaders for the men are Nico van Duijn, who is second in the 100 fly (47.29) and third in the 200 fly (1:46.03), and Anton Lagerqvist, who is third in the 200 breast (1:59.94). Senior Brandon Makinson remains atop the ACC charts with his 422.55 score in the 3m springboard dive.

On the women's side, freshman diver Shannon Lumbra is ranked fourth in the ACC on the 3m board with her score of 314.20 that came at the Auburn Diving Invitational. Catherine Richards is ranked 10th in the league in the 200 breast (2:17.91).

Following Saturday's action, Tech is back home to host Emory on Senior Day on Feb. 2.
