The first 100 fans in attendance will receive a free Whiteout Shirt.

“We are looking forward to being back home on Saturday for our last home dual meet of the season,” stated head coach Courtney Shealy Hart. “It is always bitter sweet to see our seniors compete at home for the last time each year, but we are excited about recognizing them and thanking them for all that they have done for our program both in the water, in the classroom and in the community over their time here. We will look to show continued improvements this Saturday as we strive to be out our very best in all areas for the ACC Championships in three weeks.”

Last time out, the Yellow Jackets earned a split with the South Carolina Gamecocks one week ago, as the men’s team defeated the No. 25 ranked Gamecocks 168-130, while the women’s team fell to USC 176.5-118.5 at the Carolina Natatorium in Columbia, S.C.

The women’s team (4-3) picked up one win apiece from Young (100 back) and junior Iris Wang (50 free), four runner-up finishes and a slew of third-place showings versus the Gamecocks, yet it wasn’t enough to overcome South Carolina in the head-to-head dual meet.

So far this season, Wang has already set three new school records in the 50 free (22.69), 100 free (48.23) and the 200 free (1:45.67) events, while sophomore Emily Ilgenfritz turned in a new school record in the 500 free with her time of 4:46.38 at the GT Invitational. She also has the top times for Tech in the 1000 free (10:15.92) and 1650 free (16:40.72) events this season.

Fellow sophomore Caroline Lee (100 and 200 back), junior Florina Ilie (100 and 200 breast) and junior Laura Branton (100 and 200 fly) have paced the Jackets in their respective events this season, while depth has come from a number of new faces in freshmen Julia Shuford, Camille Long and Catriona MacGregor, as well as sophomores Kristen Hepler, Chloe Miller and Tamir Gonen.

At the diving pool, freshman diver Camryn Hidalgo rewrote the record books in just her first year on the boards for Tech, as she posted new top marks in the 1-meter (331.35) and 3-meter (353.63) dives this season. The first-year Jacket also ranks in the top-five in the ACC in both springboard diving events.

The men’s team (5-2) totaled nine NCAA B qualifying and standard marks and 11 wins overall, highlighted by two wins apiece by Matt Casillas (1-meter and 3-meter dive), Christian Ferraro (100 and 200 fly), Harasz (50 and 100 free) and Rodrigo Correia (100 and 200 back), as well as a pair of relay victories and an individual win from Caio Pumputis (200 free) to upend the No. 25 nationally-ranked Gamecocks last week.

Pumputis has recorded the top times this season for the Yellow Jackets in the 200 free (1:36.12), 200 breast (1:53.80), 200 IM (1:45.68) and the 400 IM (3:50.36), all of which rank in the top 10 in the ACC this season, while Correia has registered the top times this season for Tech in the 100 free (44.43), 50 back (22.08), 100 back (46.62) and the 200 back (1:43.00) events, which all rank in the top eight in the ACC this season.

Fellow junior co-captain Colt Williamson set a new school record in the 500 free (4:18.78) this year and also has recorded a top-four time for the Jackets this season in the 200 back (1:43.77), 1000 free (9:35.66), 1650 free (16:34.76) and the 400 IM (3:52.96) events.

Casillas has been the top scoring diver in all three diving events in every meet this season for the Yellow Jackets and has posted season-high marks of 359.40 in the 1-meter, 404.25 in the 3-meter and 367.40 in the platform dives.

The Emory Eagles enter the dual meet on Saturday coming off a tri-meet sweep of Delta State and West Florida last Saturday afternoon in Cleveland, Mississippi.

The Emory women’s team (4-2) is ranked No. 2 nationally in the CSCAA Top-25 Division III poll and have won three-straight dual matches after posting second-place finishes at both the Miami Invitational and the SCAD Invitational in December.

Meg Taylor leads the Eagles and all of NCAA Division III with a time of 23.32 in the 50 free, while fellow teammate Fiona Muir has the fifth-fastest time nationally at 23.44 in the 50 free and the fourth-best mark nationally in both the 100 free (50.15) and 200 free (1:49.79) events.

Fellow Eagle Cindy Cheng ranks first nationally among all Division III swimmers in the 200 free with her time of 1:47.84 and in the 200 back at 1:56.63. She also ranks second overall in the 500 free (4:51.43) and in the100 back (55.12) ahead of fellow teammate Caroline Olson and her fourth-best time of 55.50.

Julia Durmer is tops in the nation in the 1650 free (16:36.20) and in the 400 IM (4:17.68), second in the 1000 free (10:01.56) and fifth in the 200 IM (2:03.02), while Ming-Fen Ong is second in the 400 IM (4:20.42) and sixth overall in the 200 IM (2:03.40) on the season.

The men’s squad (1-4) is coming off back-to-back dual meet losses at Florida Southern and at Delta State, but are ranked No. 3 nationally in the CSCAA Top-25 Division III poll having posted numerous nationally ranked times.

Oliver Smith has the top time in the men’s 50 free this year among all Division III swimmers with a time of 19.60 and also ranks second nationally in the 100 free with his time of 43.90, while fellow sprinter Mathias Kolleck ranks in the top-10 in both events as well.

In the distance free events, Tom Gordon is first nationally in both the 1000 free (9:20.56) and 1650 free (15:22.93) events, while Matthew Rogers (200 back) and Sage Ono (100 back) are both in the top-10 in their respective backstroke events.
