David McDaniel joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association as assistant equipment manager in September 2015. He is responsible for the purchasing, inventory, issuing and maintenance of all athletic apparel and equipment for Tech's baseball, softball, and track programs.
Prior to joining the Tech staff, McDaniel spent two-plus years as the head football equipment manager and video coordinator at Mercer in Macon, Ga. He handled the apparel and equipment needs for the football and lacrosse teams, while also coordinating all video services for Mercer's football and lacrosse teams.
This is his second stint in Atlanta as he was a graduate assistant equipment manager at Georgia State from 2009-12. While at GSU, he assisted with the complete start of the Panthers' new football program. While at Georgia State, he also was a member of the video staff of the Arena Football League's Georgia Force and was an assistant soccer coach at North Cobb Christian School in Acworth, Ga.
He graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2009 and he later earned his master's degree in sport administration from Georgia State in 2012.
He and his wife, Katie, live in Atlanta.
