A tall and athletic outfielder ... Is projected to see time in both right field and first base, and can also DH for the Jackets in 2012.

Played in 22 games as a rookie and made four starts... Earned his first career start on Feb. 19 versus Kent State and delivered by going 2-for-3 with an RBI in the 8-1 victory... Also recorded a two-hit effort in his first ACC start -- at Duke on April 2 -- going 2-for-3 with a double and a run.

Three-year letterwinner, including one year as team captain, at Woodberry Forest under head coach Henry Heil... Three-time All-Prep (2008, 2009, 2010) and two-time All-State (2009, 2010) selection... Named 2010 Woodberry Forest team MVP after senior campaign... Set the Tigers' all-time season records in home runs (15), batting average (.508), and RBI (29), as well as career records in batting average (.460) and RBI (81).
