Played in 22 games as a rookie and made four starts... Earned his first career start on Feb. 19 versus Kent State and delivered by going 2-for-3 with an RBI in the 8-1 victory... Also recorded a two-hit effort in his first ACC start -- at Duke on April 2 -- going 2-for-3 with a double and a run.

Three-year letterwinner, including one year as team captain, at Woodberry Forest under head coach Henry Heil... Three-time All-Prep (2008, 2009, 2010) and two-time All-State (2009, 2010) selection...
