THE BASICS:
• Georgia Tech was boosted by big offensive days from A.J. Murray and Wade Bailey and rolled past Indiana State, 15-2, Saturday afternoon at Russ Chandler Stadium.
• Bailey and Murray combined for seven of Tech’s 16 hits and six of the runs.
• The Yellow Jackets led 8-1 after three innings and tacked on insurance with a six-run eighth.
• The victory improved the Jackets to 7-3, while the Sycamores fell to 3-5.
• Tech looks for the weekend sweep Sunday at 1 p.m.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
• Making his first start since March 8, 2014 as he recovered from Tommy John surgery, senior RHP Cole Pitts fanned three and allowed just one hit and one run in his three innings on the mound.
• Working on a pre-determined pitch count, Pitts turned an 8-1 lead over to the bullpen after the third and was credited the victory (1-0).
Ben Parr tossed five innings of one-run relief with three strikeouts and Matt Phillips pitched a scoreless ninth.
• Murray, who homered for the second straight game, also doubled and finished 3-for-5 with two RBI and three runs.
• Bailey was a career-best 4-for-5 with a double, RBI and three runs.
Grant Wruble recorded his first two-hit game as a Yellow Jacket – both coming in the eighth inning as the Yellow Jackets sent 11 batters to the plate.
• Tech scored in each of the first four innings, opening leads of 2-0 after the first, 5-0 after the second, 8-1 after the third and 9-1 after the fourth.
• Indiana State was limited to just six hits, two of which came from Derek Hannahs.
• The loss fell to starter David Stagg (0-1), who was on the hook for seven hits and eight runs.
• All nine Tech starters reached base and seven of the nine recorded hits.

QUOTEABLE:
• “It think that was (our most complete game start to finish). And it was great to see Cole Pitts back out there and get three innings out of him. He threw the ball well. I also liked what I saw from Ben Parr. We played good defense and we swung the bats well up and down the lineup.”
— Head Coach Danny Hall
