    >> In the midst of a season-long eight-game road trip, Georgia Tech battles No. 21 Georgia and Georgia State this week. Tuesday’s game airs nationally on the SEC Network and both games can be heard on WREK 91.1 FM Atlanta. Live audio can also be accessed at RamblinWreck.com and via WREK on the TuneIn app.

    >> The Yellow Jackets, who enter the week 21st in the RPI, are looking to improve on their 3-0 record versus in-state opponents.  In 22 years under Danny Hall, Tech is 186-68 (.731) against Division I teams from Georgia.

    >> Tuesday’s game is the 363rd all-time meeting between Tech and Georgia, and the Bulldogs lead 201-159-2. The Jackets have won four of the past five regular-season series. Since 2000, the series favors Tech, 26-25. Tech won last year’s series 2-1, but the three games were decided by a total of six runs. Tech is 60-10 all-time versus Georgia State and has won four straight games in the series. Tech is 25-6 on the road versus the Panthers.

    >> Tech leads the ACC in fielding percentage (.976) and is fifth in double plays (20). Last season, the Jackets led the NCAA with 77 double plays and set school records for fielding (.973) and double plays. Since 2012, Tech has fielded .973 as a team and recorded the NCAA’s third-most double plays (215).

    >> Tech is outscoring opponents 45-12 over the final two innings plus extras. The Jackets have three walk-off wins — including March 21’s 6-5 victory over North Carolina — and have won four times when trailing in the eighth inning (4-6) and three times when trailing in the ninth (3-5). Ten of Tech’s 17 wins this year are come-from-behind victories.

    >> Sophomore RHP Zac Ryan is the only pitcher in the nation with five or more wins and three or more saves. He is already 5-0 with four saves and a 1.98 ERA. Of his team-best 14 appearances, 11 have been scoreless, including nine of the last 11. He is second in the ACC in wins, while his four saves are fifth in the conference.

    >> Of Tech’s 243 innings pitched this season, 81.6 percent have been by freshmen or sophomores (198.2 innings), which is the highest percentage among Power 5 teams and the second-highest nationally (Cincinnati, 81.7).

    >> Senior LHP Devin Stanton gets the nod Tuesday night at Georgia. Stanton is one of 30 national candidates for the 2015 Senior CLASS Awar. Stanton, who underwent Tommy John surgery in 2012, was 5-3 with a 2.24 ERA in 12 starts last year and owns a career ERA of 3.14 in 51 appearances (16 starts).

    >> Senior A.J. Murray enters the week tied for the ACC lead with 12 doubles. Eighteen of his 29 hits have gone for extra bases (five homers, one triple) and he’s slugging .580. Murray has 38 career doubles to his credit, which are seven shy of cracking the Yellow Jackets’ top 25.

    >> Tech continues to play without rookie slugger Kel Johnson, who suffered an ankle injury on March 21 versus North Carolina. Johnson was hitting .379 with seven home runs and 25 RBI.
