SS Tyler Greene (.300) was recalled to the Majors and went 2-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base.
OF Matt Murton was optioned to Class AAA Colorado Springs.
RHP Micah Owings took the loss as Chicago edged Cincinnati 2-1. His line: (L,3-7) 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 SO, 1 HR. Owings (.290) also walked and struck out in two plate appearances.
C Jason Varitek (.248) went 1-for-4 with a double and a strikeout.
