MISCELLANEOUS NOTES

TEAM NOTES
• Georgia Tech cracked the 80-point mark for the third time in five games this season. The Yellow Jackets hit 80 only twice last season, one of those in overtime.
• Tech made eight three-point field goals in the game, and has hit eight or more three times this season. Tech hit nine once and eight once last season. The Yellow Jackets have hit 34.3 percent from distance this season.
• Tech held Arkansas to 34.3 percent from the floor in the second half. The Jackets had allowed each of its last two opponents to shoot 48.5 percent (Green Bay) and 57.7 percent (ETSU) in the second half of those games.
• Tech committed a season-high 16 turnovers (11 in the second half) and for the first time this season had more turnovers than assists.
• Tech out-rebounded Arkansas 50-26, the fourth time in five games and the 76th time in 129 games under Brian Gregory that the Jackets have out-rebounded their opponent. Tech is 47-39 in those games. The Jackets have a plus-13.8 rebounding advantage for the season.
• Tech pulled 18 rebounds from the offensive glass and cashed those in for 26 second-chance points, second most this season behind its 29 against Cornell.
• Tech had 15 assists on 28 made field goals tonight and has 95 assists on 167 made field goals for the season, 56.8 percent of its field goals made. Tech has an average of 19.0 assists per game through four games.
• Tech is averaging 88.6 points per game and converting 49.4 percent of its field goal tries, numbers approaching those of the 1990 Final Four team featuring the Lethal Weapon 3 combo of Kenny Anderson, Brian Oliver and Dennis Scott (88.5 ppg, 49.6 FG pct.).
• Tech has averaged 73.3 offensive possessions in four games this season compared to 63.1 last season. Its team offensive efficiency rating is 120.8 compared to 97.2 last season.
• Tech also has made major improvements in points off turnovers (14.8 compared to 13.0 last season), second-chance points (19.2 to 12.7), points in the paint (39.6 to 32.2) and fast break points (16.0 to 8.3).
• Tech put four players in double-figure scoring for the second time after placing six against Green Bay and seven against Cornell. Tech never had as many as five players in double digits last season, and had four only six times.
• Tech’s four big men – Nick Jacobs, Charles Mitchell, Ben Lammers, James White – combined shot 14-of-25 from the floor against Arkansas, and are 83-for-137 for the season (60.6 percent). Mitchell is hitting 63.8 percent of his field goal tries through four games, and Jacobs has made 57.1 percent. White is 10-for-22, and Lammers is 15-for-19.
• Tech used 10 players in the game, and nine of them scored.
• Tech’s point guard tandem of Josh Heath and Travis Jorgenson had nine assists and just two turnovers against the Arkansas pressure. For the season, they have 41 assists and 11 turnovers for a 3.73-1 ratio. Tech has a 1.67-1 team ratio and a +0.2 turnover margin.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 19 points and reached double figures for the 68th time in 99 career games at Georgia Tech.
• Georges-Hunt stands in 28th place on Tech’s all-time scoring list, and now has 1,213 career points. He needs 40 to reach Drew Barry, who has 27th place with 1,253.
Charles Mitchell ran his double-double streak to all five games this season with 18 points and 18 rebounds (matching his career high) against Arkansas. It was his 12th double-double in a Tech uniform and 17th for his career.
• Mitchell reached double digits for the seventh straight game dating back to last season. It was his 20th double-digit game in a Tech uniform, and the 36th of his career. He has made 30 of 47 shots from the floor (63.8 pct.) this season.
• It was Mitchell’s 24th career double-figure rebound game.
Adam Smith notched his fourth double-digit scoring game in five this season with 19 points, his best in a Georgia Tech uniform. It was the 57th of his career. He made five threes, also a season high, in seven attempts, three of those in the second half. Smith has converted on 44.1 percent for the years (15-of-34).
• Lammers notched the first double-figure game of his career with 10 points, including two big layups on back-to-back possessions late in the second half. The first came off a miss by Georges-Hunt at the 2:42 mark, and the second came on a nifty pass from Charles Mitchell at the 2:10 mark, giving the Jackets a 73-64 lead. Lammers went 5-for-6 from the floor and grabbed eight rebounds.
