THE FLATS - Georgia Tech's men's basketball game against Boston College originally scheduled for tonight has been postponed to 5 p.m. Thursday. Tip time and broadcast details will be announced later this afternoon.

The game will be televised live and air on Fox Sports South in Georgia and the Southeast, NESN in the Northeastern United States, and other ACC regional networks, as well as online at ESPN3.com. Radio coverage will air on the Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network.

The Georgia Tech Athletic Association, in consultation with officials from the Atlantic Coast Conference and Boston College, made the decision to postpone the contest. Though both teams and game officials are in town, current weather and road conditions have made it dangerous and unsafe for many essential game operations personnel, game officials and fans to reach McCamish Pavilion safely.

The Yellow Jackets are off this weekend and do not play again until Tuesday night against Duke at McCamish Pavilion, while the Eagles play Notre Dame at home on Sunday. Tech's women's game against Virginia, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, has been postponed to Friday at the same time.

This is the first time a Tech game has been postponed due to weather since its road game at Clemson in January of 2011. The Yellow Jackets' home game against Fordham on December of 2010 was cancelled due to weather in the New York area not allowing the Rams to travel.
