Oliver Will Transfer From Georgia Tech

ATLANTA - Georgia Tech forward Brian Oliver, who averaged 10.5 points per game last season as a sophomore, will transfer to another university at the conclusion of the current summer school session, head basketball coach Brian Gregory announced Thursday afternoon.
Oliver, 6-6, finished his two-year Tech career with 99 three-point field goals and 484 points. He started 17 career games, including 12 last season.
"We are very appreciative of the two years Brian gave Georgia Tech and this basketball program," head coach Brian Gregory said. "Brian is a talented young man and will do well, athletically as well as academically, wherever he lands. We wish him nothing but the best."
Oliver's sophomore season included a breakout game Nov. 27 against Syracuse when he scored 32 points, including 6-of-11 shooting from three-point range. In January, Oliver had a similar performance against Virginia Tech, erupting for 28 points against the Hokies.
Oliver missed the Jan. 30 game against Maryland with the flu. Later, he missed the final eight games of the regular season after having surgery to repair a broken thumb.
A graduate of William Penn High School in New Castle, Del., Oliver calls Glassboro, N.J. home.
