November 9
Georgia Tech began to wind down its educational and cultural activities Thursday on its second full day in Shanghai, getting a chance to sleep in a little. The Yellow Jackets got their first look at Baoshan Arena, site of Saturday's game (Friday night in the U.S.) with a two-hour practice, now working in earnest to prepare for UCLA.

Five of the Yellow Jackets remained at Baoshan following practice to participate in a youth basketball clinic sponsored by the organization founded by Chinese basketball legend Yao Ming.

In the evening just after dusk, both teams and officials were treated to a cruise on the Huangpu River. The weather remained beautiful for the second straight day after hazy skies had been the norm earlier in the week, and the views of the skyline were spectacular.
