Series vs. Kennesaw State
Georgia Tech is making its first-ever visit to Kennesaw State, and the Owls are hosting an Atlantic Coast Conference team for the first time..
Tech defeated Kennesaw State, 80-55, at Alexander Memorial Coliseum last December in the first regular-season meeting between the two teams. The Jackets and Owls also faced each other in an exhibition game on November of 2004, an 80-60 Tech win at home.
The Jackets have a 37-23 record against the current membership of the Atlantic Sun Conference, 42 of those meetings against Mercer, whom the Jackets will host on Dec. 31.
This will be Tech's 11th road game on the homecourt of a so-called "non-BCS" team during the tenure of head coach Paul Hewitt. The Yellow Jackets are 8-2 in such games under Hewitt, and have won their last five.
Tech played two such games last year, at Chattanooga and at Charlotte, both wins. The two losses occurred at Air Force (2005) and Tulane (2003).
