THE FLATS – Georgia Tech, which returned home to capture a 62-54 victory over Georgia Tuesday night, continues its seven-game homestand against UNC Wilmington at 7 p.m. Saturday night at McCamish Pavilion.

Tech (5-2) is looking to forge its best start since the 2009-10 season with a victory against the Seahawks. The Yellow Jackets’ two losses have come to California, which was undefeated at the time and went on to win the DirecTV Classic, and undefeated and 13th-ranked Illinois on the road.

Tickets remain available for Saturday night’s game by going online, calling 888-TECH-TIX, or at the box office. Saturday’s game can be heard over the Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network (790 AM, 106.7 FM in Atlanta), as well as satellite radio on Sirius Ch. 119 and XM Ch. 190. It is also available online at ESPN3.

Tech, in its second season under head coach Brian Gregory, is 3-0 at home this season, including victories over Tulane and Presbyterian in early November. The Yellow Jackets also have victories over Rice and Saint Mary’s.

UNC Wilmington, in its third season under head coach Buzz Peterson, evened its 2012-13 record at 4-4 following a 62-47 homecourt victory over Coker Wednesday night. The Seahawks have won three of their last four.

Tech has next week off for fall semester finals before resuming its homestand Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. against Alabama State.
