Yellow Jackets one-third through spring drills
A redshirt freshman linebacker with good potential... played well on the scout team in 2012 as a true freshman... a good student who has made the Dean's List.
2012 (true freshman): Redshirted.
High School: Jackson-Olin HS... played for head coach Terence Amos ... amassed 122 tackles, 32 tackles for loss, six sacks, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles as a senior... honorable mention All-America pick and selected as the Alabama defensive player of the year... two-time team MVP... rated with three starts and ranked the No. 30 recruit in Alabama by Rivals... ranked the No. 35 prospect in Alabama and the No. 39 inside linebacker nationally by 247Sports.com.... set a 6A region record with a 30 tackles in one game... blocked 10 punts in his prep career.
Personal: Full name is Beau Bryson Hankins... son of Stacey Hankins... has three siblings - Nicole, Eva and Brian, Jr... born Feb. 1, 1994 in Mesa, Ariz... was age seven when his father introduced him to football... wore No. 12 in high school, which was the same number worn by his father, who passed away in 2009... member of the National Honor Society in high school and graduated in top one percent of class... made the Dean's List in the fall of 2012... intends to major in business management.
