A walk-on receiver who was part of the WR rotation all season... hauled in his first career reception for 19 yards on a pass from Calvin Booker in the Mississippi State game (Sept. 20)... made his first career start at defending ACC champion Virginia Tech (Sept. 13) when Demaryius Thomas (concussion) did not make the trip... had no statistics but saw action in each of the first three games of the season... one of the surprises of the preseason... made one 20-yard reception in the T-Day Game... redshirted as a rookie.

Saw no game action as a true freshman and redshirted.

High School
Played basketball, golf and football at Cartersville HS... earned four letters in golf, three in basketball and two in football... led Cartersville to regional championships in all three sports as a senior... played in the Georgia-Tennessee All-Star Game and made a touchdown reception... an honor graduate.

Born Feb. 16, 1989... son of Robbie and Pam Clyburn... full name is Robert Beaty Clyburn III... has a sister, Alexandria... previously lived in North Carolina and Maine... was an Eagle Scout... considering a major in building construction... chose Georgia Tech because of the education it offers and a chance to play football within the state... didn't begin playing football until junior year of high school at age 17... loves to play golf.
