Made an immediate impact last season as a true freshman... shedded his redshirt in the fifth game of the season and saw his first career action against Miami (Sept. 22)... an athletic player who will compete for a starting job in 2013... a good student who has made the Dean's List.

2012 (true freshman): Played in 10 games -- the final 10 games of the season... recorded five tackles -- all of them solo tackles... forced one fumble... recorded two solo tackles in the win over Boston College (Oct. 20)... had a pair of solo tackles and forced a fumble at North Carolina (Nov. 10).

High School: Union Grove... played for head coach Paul Burgdorf ... rated with three stars and ranked No. 121 at cornerback by Scout... ranked No. 29 at cornerback nationally by ESPN... averaged 8.59 yards per carry, 21.85 yards per catch, 16 yards per punt return, 22.3 yards per kick return, made 21 tackles and recorded an interception as a senior... first team all-region and honorable mention all-state in 2011.
