Made an immediate impact as a true freshman in 2012 and emerged as a starter as a sophomore in 2013... an athletic player who has improved game by game through the first two years of his career... played his best game in last year's Music City Bowl vs. Ole Miss... a good student who has made the Dean's List.
2013 (sophomore): Played in all 13 games and started nine times... recorded 50 tackles, 40 solo tackles, and a tackle for loss... forced two fumbles, had one interception and broke up five passes... registered five tackles at BYU (Oct. 12)... had five tackles at Virginia (Oct. 26)... recorded five solo tackles and a tackle for loss vs. Georgia (Nov. 30)... had a breakout game vs. Ole Miss in the Music City Bowl (Dec. 30)... recorded a career-high 13 tackles and 11 solo tackles, forced two fumbles and had his first career interception against the Rebels.
2012 (true freshman): Played in 10 games -- the final 10 games of the season... recorded five tackles -- all of them solo tackles... forced one fumble... recorded two solo tackles in the win over Boston College (Oct. 20)... had a pair of solo tackles and forced a fumble at North Carolina (Nov. 10).
High School: Union Grove... played for head coach Paul Burgdorf... rated with three stars and ranked No. 121 at cornerback by Scout... ranked No. 29 at cornerback nationally by ESPN... averaged 8.59 yards per carry, 21.85 yards per catch, 16 yards per punt return, 22.3 yards per kick return, made 21 tackles and recorded an interception as a senior... first team all-region and honorable mention all-state in 2011.
