An athletic and versatile defensive lineman who has increased his productivity each season in the program... closed the 2012 season by starting the final two games and enters 2013 as a candidate to start on the D-line... has very good speed for a player his size... plays with a great deal of emotion and enthusiasm.
2012 (junior): Played in all 14 games and started twice... both of his starts came in the postseason -- the ACC Championship Game and the Hyundai Sun Bowl... finished the season with 23 tackles (15 solo tackles), 4.0 tackles-for-loss, 3.0 sacks and one pass break-up... recorded two solo tackles vs. Miami (Sept. 22)... had sacks in back-to-back games against Clemson (Oct. 6) and Boston College (Oct. 20)... registered three tackles and a sack at Maryland (Nov. 3)... had three tackles and a tackle-for-loss at North Carolina (Nov. 10)... recorded three tackles vs. Florida State in the ACC Championship Game (Dec. 1).
2011 (sophomore): Saw action in all 13 games as a top back-up at defensive end... produced 22 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, one pass break-up and one quarterback hurry... came off the bench for three tackles at Middle Tennessee State (Sept. 10)... recorded three tackles vs. Kansas (Sept. 17)... had three tackles in a key road win at NC State (Oct. 1)... played the best game of his career at Miami (Oct. 22)... recorded four solo tackles and a tackle for loss against the Hurricanes.... had three tackles and a half-tackle for loss vs. Georgia (Nov. 26).
2010 (redshirt freshman): Saw action in three games -- vs. South Carolina State (Sept. 4), vs. NC State (Sept. 25) and vs. Middle Tennessee State (Oct. 16)... recorded two tackles -- one vs. South Carolina State and one vs. Middle Tennessee State.
2009 (true freshman): Redshirted.
High School: Centennial HS... had 45 tackles, four tackles for loss, eight sacks, two fumble recoveries and six forced fumbles... AJC 5A all-state honorable mention... ranked #51 for his position by Scout, #69 by ESPN and #49 by Rivals... played for coach Jeff Measor, earning two varsity letters... also played three seasons of basketball and helped lead team to a runner-up finish in the state tournament as a sophomore.
Personal: Full name is Euclid Patrick Cummings... son of Peter and Patricia Cummings... born May 6, 1991 in Atlanta... has two older siblings, Omar and Jaysen... wants to one day serve as a global brand manager... began playing football at age 16 after being convinced by his high school coaches... a management major.
