MTSU likes to throw it around, and Jackets pass defense will look for strong performance

A skilled, athletic, hard-hitting safety who is due some good luck in regard to injuries... would be a huge boost to an already solid secondary if he can play this season... began his career as an impressive true freshman in 2010, playing in 13 games as a top back-up and special teams performer... tore his Achilles just prior to the start of the 2011 season... suffered a foot injury prior to 2012 and also missed that entire season.

2012 (sophomore): Missed the entire season with a foot injury.

2011 (redshirt): Suffered an Achilles injury in August and sat out the entire season.

2010 (true freshman): Played in all 13 games as a back-up at safety and a member of special teams... recorded 11 tackles, including six solo tackles, and recorded one forced fumble... had a pair of tackles in the season opener vs. South Carolina State (Sept. 4)... recorded two tackles in the win over Virginia (Oct. 9)... had a pair of tackles and forced a fumble in the regular season finale at Georgia (Nov. 27).

High School: Thomasville HS... rated the 36th-best prospect in the state of Georgia (Rivals)... rated the 37th-best prospect in Georgia (Superprep)... rated 40th on the AJC Fab 50 list... first Team 2A All-State. Personal: Born Jan. 21, 1992... chose Tech because "they are building something special at Tech and I want to be a part of that."... majoring in history, technology & society.
