2003: First-team all-ACC defensive end who led the league in sacks with 11 (0.85 per game) and ranked second in tackles for loss with 24 tackles, a Tech season record . . . Also had four pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a blocked kick . . . Named to the 2003 ACC All-Academic football team.
Named Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week and ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week after helping Tech to a standout defensive effort in win over Auburn . . . Collected three sacks plus another tackle for loss and a forced fumble against the Tigers . . . . Helped the Tech defense limit Auburn to 40 yards rushing and NC State to minus-8 yards rushing . . . Made a huge play in Tech's overtime win over Vanderbilt by blocking Vandy's field goal attempt on the final play of regulation . . .
