Defense steps up with absence of starters Attaochu, Drummond
Tore his Achilles tendon in an August scrimmage and is likely out for the year... was a top candidate to start at one of the safety positions... played significant snaps as a true freshman in 2010... picked up the 3-4 scheme quickly after arriving at Tech in August, 2010... an athletic player with outstanding strength (Squat: 525; Power clean: 345).
2010 (True Freshman): Played in all 13 games as a back-up at safety and a member of special teams... recorded 11 tackles, including six solo tackles, and recorded one forced fumble... had a pair of tackles in the season opener vs. South Carolina State (Sept. 4)... recorded two tackles in the win over Virginia (Oct. 9)... had a pair of tackles and forced a fumble in the regular season finale at Georgia (Nov. 27).
