Took a non-traditional route to getting his degree and lettering in football at Georgia Tech... was a highly-touted high school player at Henry County (Ga.) HS, where he graduated early and enrolled at Alabama in January, 2008... played as a true freshman for the Crimson Tide, exclusively on special teams... transferred to Georgia Tech following his rookie season and sat out the 2009 season under NCAA transfer rules... missed the entire 2010 season with an injury... moved from running back to wide receiver in 2011 when he saw action in all 13 games, but did not make a reception... played in 10 games, started twice and had two receptions for 42 yards as a senior.

2012 (senior): Played in 10 games and started two games - at North Carolina, vs. Duke... developed into a solid downfield blocker... had two receptions for 42 yards... his first career catch of 19 yards came in Tech's win at North Carolina (Nov. 10, 2012)... hauled in a career-long 23-yard reception against Southern California in the Hyundai Sun Bowl.
