Jackets Conclude Final Scrimmage Before Spring Game

Friday Night on the Flats, presented by PNC Bank, is shaping up to be quite an event

A senior who has played on both sides of the ball and has battled nagging injuries his entire career... has played sparingly since moving from the defensive line to the offensive line prior to the 2011 season... began his career at Tech on the defensive line... a good student who has made the Dean's List... has an interest in the TV/video field.

2012 (junior): Saw action in one game -- vs. Presbyterian (Sept. 8).

2011 (sophomore): Played in one game -- vs. NC State (Oct. 1).

2010 (redshirt freshman): Played in the Middle Tennessee State game (Oct. 16).

2009 (true freshman): Redshirted... suffered a shoulder injury in practice in the preseason and spent most of the fall rehabilitating.

High School: Emanuel County Institute... Scout.com 4-star recruit... No. 25 DT in the nation (Scout.com), No. 24 DT in the nation (ESPN.com)... 2008 Class A first team all-state selection (GHSA and AJC) and a three-time first team all-region selection... played in the 2008 Georgia North-South All-Star Game...ECI won the state title and regional crown in 2007 while going 15-0... the 2006 ECI team won a regional championship... 2007 Class A All-State selection as a junior... coached by Milan Turner... earned four letters in football and served two years as team captain... won the DAR Good Citizenship Award... also played three seasons of basketball, playing the center position.
