AT TECH: All-conference tailback who shared the bulk of the rushing chores with fellow senior William Bell . . . Solid blocker who is versatile enough to also play fullback . . . Has excellent size and speed and catches the ball well out of the backfield . . . Elected by his teammates as one of Tech's permanent team captains for 1993.

1993: First-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference selection . . . Led Tech and ranked fourth in the ACC in rushing, averaging 82.3 yards per game, despite carrying the ball fewer than 12 times a game . . . Set a new Georgia Tech record by averaging 7.2 yards per carry, easily eclipsing the standard, among backs with at least 100 carries, of 6.1 set by David Sims in 1974 . . . Averaged 116.3 all-purpose yards per game, third in the ACC . . . Total of 1,163 (823 rushing, 134 receiving and 206 returns) all-purpose yards is the eighth-best season in Tech history, while his per-game average ranks seventh. Topped the 100-yard mark on five occasions . . . Only Yellow Jackets with more 100-yard games in a season are Eddie Lee Ivery (8 in 1978), Robert Lavette (7 in 1982; 6 in 1984) and Jerry Mays (7 in 1989) . . . Rushed for a career-high 141 yards on 20 attempts against Wake Forest while scoring three touchdowns on runs of 33, 20 and 12 yards . . . Gained 130 yards against Maryland on just 13 carries . . . Bettered that two weeks later against N.C. State with 133 yards on 17 attempts . . . Had 112 yards on 12 carries, along with two receptions for 14 yards, in the season opener against Furman . . . Added 106 yards on 13 carries against Baylor, when he also also raced 75 yards for a touchdown on a screen pass, the second-longest completion to a running back in Tech history . . . Could have had a sixth 100-yard effort, settling for 90 yards against Duke while sitting out the entire fourth quarter of a lopsided victory . . . Scored eight rushing touchdowns, equalling the eighth-best season in Tech history, while his total of nine touchdowns ties the seventh-best season . . . Caught eight passes on the season, averaging 16.8 yards per catch . . . Averaged 22.9 yards on nine kickoff returns . . . Suffered bruised ribs in the second game of the season against Virginia; played just 12 snaps against the Cavaliers and missed the next game against Clemson but returned the following week versus Florida State . . . Participated in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., and the Hula Bowl in Honolulu, Hi.

1992: Fourth on the team in rushing with 213 yards on 55 carries . . . Scored two touchdowns rushing . . . Caught 13 passes for 142 yards, a 10.9 average per reception, and one score . . . Best rushing efforts were 57 yards on four carries against N.C. State and 56 yards on 12 attempts versus Maryland . . . Had a 40-yard reception against Western Carolina . . . Started four games--Western Carolina, Virginia, Baylor and Wake Forest . . . Played much of the season with a cast after breaking a bone in his left hand. 1991: Redshirted and practiced with the scout team in his first season at Tech after transferring.

AT NOTRE DAME: Expected to the be the Irish's No. 1 tailback heading into the 1990 campaign but a knee injury hampered his season . . . Underwent arthropscopic surgery in June of 1990 . . . Played in eight games that year and carried the ball 13 times for 53 yards and two touchdowns . . . Added one catch for 20 yards and two kickoff returns for 31 yards . . .
