A veteran B-back competing with a group for the vacancy left by Anthony Allen's departure... has played in 21 career games after transferring to Tech from Colgate... a good blocker... a strong runner who is difficult to stop in short-yardage situations... has also shown the ability to make receptions out of the backfield... was one of the biggest surprises of 2009 when he fought his way to the top back-up to Jonathan Dwyer at B-back... missed all of spring practice in 2010 to recover from shoulder surgery... a local product... made the ACC Academic Honor Roll for 2009-10... came to Tech as a walk-on and was awarded a scholarship by Paul Johnson in August, 2010.
2010 (Junior):
Played in eight games... rushed 14 times for 60 yards (4.3 yards per carry)... had two receptions for 43 yards... carried a season-high three times for 12 yards vs. NC State (Sept. 25)... had a key reception for 38 yards and rushed twice for nine yards in the win at Wake Forest (Oct. 2)... caught one pass against Miami (Nov. 13)... carried two times for 17 yards at Georgia (Nov. 27).
2009 (Sophomore)
Emerged in August as the top back-up to Jonathan Dwyer at B-back... played in 13 games... had 30 carries for 139 yards (4.6 ypa) and one touchdown... ran for his first career touchdown -- a 31-yard TD run -- in the win over Wake Forest (Nov. 7)... finished the Wake game with four carries for 41 yards... rushed six times for 34 yards (5.7 ypa) at Virginia (Oct. 24).

A 2007 graduate of the Marist School in Atlanta... lettered and started three years with the War Eagles... played fullback and linebacker for coach Alan Chadwick... served as a game captain in his senior year... carried 184 times for 1,451 yards and 22 touchdowns and caught eight passes for 71 as a senior... rushed for a school record 3,707 career yards and 61 touchdowns... had 4,074 career all-purpose yards... his 2006 team was Georgia state runner up in Class AAAA... was first team all-state, first team all-DeKalb County and first team all-Northside Atlanta... set school record of career rushing yards (3,707) and career touchdowns (61) team's most valuable back... coached by Alan Chadwick.
