Maurice Duncan, a former football standout at Furman, begins his third year on the Yellow Jacket staff as a graduate assistant.
Duncan will work this fall with assistant coaches Ted Roof and Joe Speed with the Jacket defensive backs.
Before arriving in Atlanta, Duncan worked four years as an assistant coach at Luella High School in Locust Grove, Ga. At Luella he coached the defensive backs and also served as strength and conditioning coordinator.
A 2005 graduate of Furman with a degree in health and exercise science, Duncan earned four varsity letters and was a three-year starter at cornerback for the Purple Paladins.
Duncan, a native of Aiken, S.C., and wife, Aja, have a son, Elijah. The Duncans reside in Atlanta.
