Yellow Jackets scrimmaged Saturday morning in Bobby Dodd Stadium
Joined the Georgia Tech program in 2012 as a preferred walk-on.
2012 (true freshman): Redshirted.
High School: Swainsboro HS... a two-time first team all-region pick in 2010 and 2011... played in the CSRA Senior Bowl... was part of a region runner-up team in 2009 and won 3AA region title in 2010... invited to Under Armour All-American Combine in 2011... was a five-time Swainsboro HS Player of the Week between 2010 and 2011.
Personal: Full name is Michael Branan Mums... born July 16, 1994 in Augusta, Ga... son of Tommy and Kathy Mums... has a step-brother, David... his uncle William Branan attended Tech in the late 1960s... began playing football at age seven... named to the Honor Roll every year in high school and was an honor graduate... intends to major in history.
