A two-year starter returning at long snapper... very solid, consistent snapper who hustles down the field on punt coverage... saw action in wide receiver in the spring... took over starting duties in the fourth game of 2009... a former walk-on who was awarded a scholarship by Paul Johnson in the summer of 2010... joined the program in August, 2009.
2010 (Sophomore)
Tech's long snapper in all 13 games... was consistently good throughout the season... worked with two punters -- Chandler Anderson and Sean Poole... made a tackle on punt coverage at Virginia Tech (Nov. 4).
2009 (Freshman)
Took over duties as the long snapper for punts in the fourth game of the season vs. North Carolina (Sept. 26) and kept that role the rest of the season... made a solo tackle in his first career game... there were three games in which Tech did not punt -- vs. Florida State, Georgia and Clemson (ACC Championship Game)... one of seven true freshmen -- and the only non-scholarship true freshman -- to play in 2009.
High School
Whitewater High School... played four seasons under coach Amos McCreary... played wide receiver and long snapper... selected all-county and all-region as a senior... an Honor Graduate.

Full name is Trenton Tyler Morgan... parents are Ted and Terri... born August 23, 1990 in Atlanta... has two brothers -- Drew and Trevor... uncle, Mark Lyles, played football at Jacksonville State... majoring in management.
