AT TECH: Three-year starter on the defensive line who moved to defensive end last season in 2004 two years at tackle . . . Honorable mention all-conference selection in 2003 . . . Started 36 of Tech's 38 games over the 2002-03-04 seasons . . . Career total of 116 tackles with 26 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
2004: Tech's most consistent run stopper on the defensive front and a key reason why the Jackets ranked 12th in the nation in total defense and 13th in rushing defense . . . Season totals of 34 tackles with six tackles for loss, two sacks and two pass breakups . . . Had a sack and two pass breakups in Tech's win at NC State, helping hold the Wolfpack to just 57 yards rushing . . . Part of outstanding defensive performances against Maryland, which Tech held to seven yards rushing and 81 total yards, and Duke, which managed 184 total yards . . . Preseason honorable mention all-America by Street & Smith's magazine.
2003: Earned honorable mention all-ACC recognition . . . Fourth on the team with 15 tackles for loss, including 2.5 sacks . . . Had a career-best eight tackles, with three tackles for loss, in Tech's outstanding defensive effort against Maryland . . . Had two tackles for loss and a forced fumble against Georgia . . . Opened the season with two tackles for loss against BYU, then added two more the following week in Tech's win over Auburn . . . Had one of Tech's six fumble recoveries in the Humanitarian Bowl win over Tulsa.
2002: Started 12 of 13 games at defensive tackle . . . Collected 42 tackles, including 23 primary hits . . . Season-high seven tackles with two tackles for loss and a sack against Georgia . . . Find the season with six tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a pass breakup against Fresno State . . . Added five tackles and a pass breakup in Tech's win over Brigham Young . . . Had a tackle for loss against Wake Forest . . . Played defensive end while redshirting in 2001.
HIGH SCHOOL: Named first-team all-San Gabriel Valley by the Los Angeles Times . . . Also earned all-league honors . . . Collected 82 tackles and 12 sacks as a senior . . . Also played tight end and caught 19 passes for 370 yards and three touchdowns . . . Team MVP for coach Greg Gano at Los Altos High.
