Attended Roswell High School... earned two varsity letters playing for coach Tim McFarlin... also earned two varsity letters on the swim team.

Given name is Michael William Ray... parents are Steve and Catherine... has one sister, Michele... grandfather, James "Jimmy" Ray, played football at Middle Georgia College... father, Steve, ran cross country at Southern Technical Institute... Steve graduated from Georgia Tech in 1983... Michael can play the violin... chose Tech because "academics are challenging, but the rewards are endless. Tech tradition is honored and respected both on the field and off the field in the business world."... also selected Tech because "my father went to Tech and raised me a Yellow Jacket since the day I was born"... was sold on Tech after attending the 1990 Georgia Tech-Clemson game.
