AT TECH: Versatile defender who started at strong safety as a senior after an all-conference season at outside linebacker as a junior . . . Moved to linebacker for the 2004 season after two years as a backup at strong safety, then returned to strong safety in 2005 . . . Career totals of 195 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, three interceptions and 10 pass breakups with 24 career starts . . . Elected one of Tech's permanent team captains for 2005.

Three-time member of the ACC All-Academic football team (2003-04-05) . . . . Received the Georgia Tech Academic Excellence Award following his senior season . . . Outstanding effort against Maryland with three tackles for 32 yards in losses, including 2.5 sacks, as Tech held the Terps to just 81 total yards . . . Career-high 14 tackles in Tech's win over Clemson . . . 2003: Collected 37 tackles with six tackles for loss . . . Saw his most significant playing time against NC State and Tulsa, when he was employed in six-defensive back schemes . . . Had a career-high eight tackles against the Wolfpack, including three tackles for loss, a sack and a pass breakup . . . Recovered an NC State fumble on a kickoff to give Tech the ball at the 32-yard line and set up a field goal . . . Also had eight tackles against Tulsa in the Humanitarian Bowl, along with two tackles for loss, one sack, a forced fumble and a pass breakup . . . Converted a fake punt in Tech's victory over Auburn . . . On fourth-and-one at the Auburn 41, he lined up as the up-back in punt formation; took the snap and gained four yards and a first down, setting up Tech's first touchdown in the 17-3 victory . . .
