A returning starter on the offensive line... made significant improvement between sophomore and junior seasons... skilled enough to play a number of positions on the line, but has played primarily at guard during his career.... enrolled at Georgia Tech in January of 2011... a good student who has made the Dean's List and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2014 (junior): Started all 13 games at left guard ... Tech's offensive line allowed just 0.77 sacks per game (1st in the ACC, tied for third nationally) ... Tech ranked first in the ACC and third nationally in rushing offense.

2013 (sophomore): Played in 13 games and started the final eight games of the season... moved into the starting spot at left guard after left tackle Ray Beno went down with an injury... made first career start at BYU (Oct. 12)... an instrumental part of an offensive line that allowed just 1.08 sacks per game (1st in the ACC, tied for ninth nationally)... Tech ranked first in the ACC and sixth nationally in rushing offense.

2012 (redshirt freshman): Saw action in eight games... was listed as the top back-up at right guard for most of the season... part of an offensive line that helped the Yellow Jackets rank fourth nationally in rushing offense. 2011 (true freshman): Redshirted.

High School: Leon HS... earned all-state, all-district and all-area honors as a senior... coached at Leon High School by Bill Ragans... recorded 66 tackles (24 solos) as a senior... added seven tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble... earned four varsity letters in football... played guard and tackle on offense and tackle and end on defense... also earned three letters in wrestling and two in track and field... was ranked as the No. 1 heavyweight wrestler in Florida and finished third in the national AAU event... posted a 75-13 all-time record in wrestling.

Personal: His father, Mike, played at Army in the 1980s... began playing football in ninth grade... given name is Michael Albert Braun... parents are Mike and Karen... born March 16, 1993... both parents graduated from West Point... majoring in business administration.
