Dean's List Includes 19 Yellow Jacket Football Players
Nineteen earn academic honors for the spring semester
A non-scholarship player who joined the team in the spring of 2012 following try-outs... earned a 4.0 GPA in each of his first two semesters at Tech, garnering Faculty Honors.
2012 (true freshman): Redshirted.
High School: John Burroughs School... earned three varsity letters in football... played for coach Todd Small... played running back, wide receiver and linebacker... helped lead team to a district title and runner-up in the state playoffs... also earned three letters in swimming and one in crew.
Personal: Full name is William Connor Smith... parents are Stephen and Phoebe... has three siblings -- Zach, Claire and Zoe... graduated high school with honors... began playing football in ninth grade... came to Tech because "I wanted to attend a prestigious engineering institution."... majoring in industrial engineering.
