Calvin Johnson’s two touchdown pass are his 10th and 11th of the season, breaking the Georgia Tech season record, set by Kelly Campbell with 10 in 1999 and again in 2000.

Johnson’s touchdowns give him 24 for his career to tie Campbell’s Georgia Tech career record of 24, from 1998-01.

With 176 total yards, Johnson surpassed 100 yards, the 11th 100-yard game of his career. That also sets a new school record; Campbell and Harvey Middleton each had 10 100-yard games.

With 231 yards of total offense, Reggie Ball topped the 9,000-yard mark for career total offense and moved into the top 10 in ACC history. He now has 9,173 yards as he passed No. 9 Ben Bennett (9,061, 1980-83) of Duke and No. 8 Spence Fisher (9,110, 1992-95), also of Duke.

Tashard Choice rushed for a career-high 164 yards. His previous high was 138 vs. Maryland. He has topped the 100-yard mark in four of the last five games.

Tashard Choice’s 41-yard run in the second quarter is Tech’s longest run from scrimmage this season. Ball’s 28-yard run in the first quarter is his longest run of the season.

Reggie Ball threw four touchdown passes which ties a career high for TD passes in a game. This is the first time that he has thrown four TD passes in a game since 2004 vs. Clemson (the second game of his sophomore year) and just the third time in his career he has thrown three or more TD passes. He had four vs. Clemson and three vs. North Carolina in 2003.

Ball now has 17 TD passes on the season which is a career-high. He had 16 as a sophomore.

With four touchdown passes, Ball raised his career total to 54 to move into second place on Georgia Tech’s career list. He passed Shawn Jones (51, 1989-92) and now trails only Joe Hamilton (65, 1966-99).
