Georgia Tech’s win today gives the Yellow Jackets…

… a record of 6-4 overall, 3-4 in the ACC

… a chance to finish .500 or better in the ACC for the 13th straight season if they can beat North Carolina next week

… a bowl-eligible record for the 11th consecutive season

… with one more win, their 11th straight winning season

… a record of 43-31 in six seasons under head coach Chan Gailey, including a 17-15 mark on the road

… an all-time record of 44-30-1 vs. Duke

… four straight wins over the Blue Devils and 12 wins in their last 13 meetings vs. Duke

… a 19-18 record vs. Duke in Durham

… 15 ACC wins over the last three seasons combined – the most of any team except for Virginia Tech

… recorded the first fumble recovery of his young career

 

Travis Bell, Sr., K

… his second field goal today was his 20th of the season, breaking the Tech single-season record of 19 shared by Luke Manget in 2001 and Scott Sisson in 1992

… eclipsed 300 career points today – he entered the game with 292 – and moved into second place on Tech’s career scoring list, passing Scott Sisson, who scored 299 points from 1989-92

… has scored a point in 48 consecutive games – that’s the longest current streak in the nation

… his fifth PAT today was his 129th consecutive without a miss

 

Tashard Choice, Sr., RB

… eclipsed 3,000 rushing yards for his Georgia Tech career (entered the game with 2,850 yards rushing in three seasons) (does not include his freshman season at Oklahoma)

… he is the 28th player in ACC history to rush for 3,000 career yards and the first since Chris Barclay, P.J. Daniels and Wali Lundy all reached that mark in 2005

… went over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season – his second consecutive 1,000-yard season

… he is the first Yellow Jacket to have 1,000-yard seasons in back-to-back seasons

… scored more than one touchdown in a game for the third time this season and the eighth time in his career

… currently has the ninth-best single-season rushing total in Georgia Tech history

… rushed for 100 yards for the sixth time this season – tying for the fifth-most 100-yard games in one season in Tech history

… rushed for 100 yards for the 16th time in his career – tying for the second-most 100-yard games in Tech career history

… his third-quarter touchdown was his ninth of the season and the 27th of his career

… his 27 career touchdowns – all by rushing – tie for the fifth-most touchdowns in Tech history and are the third-most rushing TDs in Tech history

… his third-quarter TD also gave him 162 points scored, tying for 10th on Tech’s all-time career scoring list

… his third-quarter TD also gave him nine touchdowns for the season, tying for the 11th-most single-season rushing TDs in Tech history

… recorded the 600th rushing attempt of his Georgia Tech career (he entered today’s game with 581 carries)

… his first reception today moved him over 1,100 receiving yards for his career and into 16th place on Tech’s all-time career receiving yardage chart

 

Demaryius Thomas, Fr., WR

… scored his third touchdown of the season – his first when not on the receiving end of a Taylor Bennett pass
