UNC, Virginia Tech Tickets Go On Sale Friday
Back-to-back September home games come against Coastal Division rivals
Aug 22, 2013
THE FLATS - Single-game tickets to Georgia Tech's home football games against ACC Coastal Division rivals North Carolina (Sept. 21) and Virginia Tech (Thursday, Sept. 26) go on sale to the general public Friday at 8:30 a.m.
The back-to-back games against North Carolina and Virginia Tech over a six-day span should have a large impact on the Coastal Division race. Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech are the only teams to win the Coastal since ACC divisional play began in 2005.
The Virginia Tech game, which will be televised nationally on ESPN and kicks off at 7:30 p.m., is the centerpiece of Georgia Tech's 100th anniversary celebration of Grant Field. The Yellow Jackets will wear throw-back uniforms and every living Tech All-American has been invited back for the event.
The UNC and Virginia Tech single-game tickets were offered earlier this week to season ticket holders and other select groups, but they are being offered to the general public for the first time.
Tickets for Georgia Tech's season opener against Elon on Aug. 31 remain on sale.
Ticket prices for select games start at just $25. To purchase tickets or for more information go to this web site (beginning Friday morning), or call the ticket office at 1-888-TECH-TIX.
Single-game tickets to Georgia Tech's remaining home games against Syracuse, Pittsburgh and Alabama A&M go on sale Sept. 13th. Tickets for the regular season finale against in-state rival Georgia are only available through season ticket or Triple Option sales.
Season tickets, the Swarm Six-Pack and the Triple Option offer remain on sale in the ticket office.
