Walking Off With a 'W'
Harrison Butker kicked a game-winning 24-yard FG as time expired at Virginia Tech
Harrison Butker's 24-yard field goal at Virginia Tech as time expired was just the fourth final-play FG in Georgia Tech history. It was Butker's career-first game-winning field goal as time expired and the first by a Georgia Tech kicker in 15 years.
Scott Sisson kicked six game-winning field goals in his decorated Tech career but only two were kicked with no time remaining. Tech fans will fondly remember Sisson's walk-off kicks: a 33-yard field goal to secure a 24-21 win at Virginia in 1991, and a 29-yard kick for a 16-13 win vs. NC State in 1992.
