Fans Have A List Of Activities To Choose From This Weekend

For Georgia Tech’s final home game of the 2012 season, activites for Yellow Jacket fans begins Friday night at Atlantic Station and run through kickoff.

Before taking a look at all the events available for fans, you’ll want to make a note to be inside Bobby Dodd Stadium early on Saturday. The traditional recognition of the senior players begins at 3:10 p.m.

Saturday’s game is crucial for Tech. With a win, the Jackets would improve to 6-5, they’d take over first place in the ACC Coastal Division, clinch a bowl bid and perhaps even earn a berth to the ACC Championship game. It’s also Military Appreciation Day at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Military Appreciation
Georgia Tech will honor our military this weekend in partnership with the Georgia National Guard. Special ticket rates are available for current and retired military personnel. Call 1-888-Tech-Tix for details.

Tech Town
Start your weekend by coming to Tech Town at Atlantic Station Friday night at 7 p.m. for a Yellow Jacket celebration at Central Park. Join the Georgia Tech Cheerleaders, Goldrush and the Yellow Jacket Marching Band to root on the Yellow Jackets. Be sure to take a picture with Buzz and the Ramblin’ Wreck. This event is ideal for fans of all ages.

Students on campus can get in on the fun at Atlantic Station as well, be sure to hop on the free shuttle from campus to Tech Town to take part in all the fun at Atlantic Station. Shuttle service is available from four convenient pick-up locations at the Student Center, Athletic Department, Graduate Living Center and Fitten Hall from 6:30 to 9:30.

Atlantic Station Shuttle Service
Take advantage of complimentary game day shuttle service between Atlantic Station and Bobby Dodd Stadium. Park at Atlantic Station, beat the traffic to campus and enjoy a meal before or after the game at any of the restaurants and establishments on-site.

Wreckfest
Come to Fowler Street three hours before kickoff and enjoy expanded activities for the entire family. We will have live music the whole family can enjoy from Calloway Plaza prior to the start of the game. This week’s band will be the Chris Massy Band. Additionally, face painters, concessions and interactive promotions are planned for the entire family to enjoy.

Yellow Jacket Alley
Be the first to greet the team! Two hours and 30 minutes prior to each home game, make your way over to Yellow Jacket Alley (Brittain Drive) to see your favorite players up close and cheer them on as they march into Bobby Dodd Stadium. Listen for the whistle to blow 15 minutes before the team is to arrive.

McCamish Pavilion
The new home for Georgia Tech Basketball, McCamish Pavilion will be open prior to the Duke game from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. to the general public to take a sneak peek at our new state of the art basketball facility. Fans can also visit McCamish Pavilion Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. for prospective ticket buyers.
