TECH LINEUP – Albertson led the Jackets with a 5-under-par 67 Sunday, while Czuchry (Auburn, Ga.) fired a 70, both low rounds of the tournament for each of the two seniors. Freshman Petefish (Danville, Calif.) remained steady with a 71 and freshman James Clark (Columbus, Ga.) finished with a 73 to count for the Yellow Jackets. Freshman Jacob Joiner’s (Leesburg, Ga.) 75 was discarded.

Albertson’s fast finish (four birdies in his final seven holes) put him in a tie for fourth place individually at 9-under-par 207, his second top-10 finish of the year and 18th for his career. Petefish and Clark tied for ninth place at 5-under 211, each notching his first top-10 finish of the year. Cxuchry tied for 48th place at 4-over 220, while Joiner tied for 67th at 225. Michael Hines, competing as an individual, shot even-par 72 Sunday and tied for 48th place.

TEAM LEADERBOARD – All five Florida State players scored under par as the No. 2-ranked Seminoles shot 17-under-par 271 for the round and won their tournament going away. The host Seminoles (21-under-par 843 for the tournament) won by three strokes over East Tennessee State (18-under-846), which had led after the first two days. No. 14 South Carolina matched the Jackets with a 7-under-par final round and finished third at 17-under 847. Tech finished at 16-under 848, and No. 24 Virginia was fifth at 12-ynder 852.

Tech was within two shots of the Seminoles in second place with three holes to play, but stalled when Clark carded four straight bogeys on the back nine. The Gamecocks and Buccaneers rallied on the final holes to pass the Jackets and take second and third place.

INDIVIDUAL LEADERBOARD – Gadmundur Kristiansson of East Tennessee State shot 69 Sunday to complete a wire-to-wire victory in the medal race. He finished at 17-under-par 199 for a 3-shot win over hard-charging Jack Maquire of FSU, who shot 64 Sunday and finished at 14-under 202. South Carolina’s Will Starke shot 66 Sunday and finished third at 13-under 203. Albertson tied with FSU’s Anthony Alex at 9-under 207. ETSU’s Adrian Meronk (-8), Virginia’s Derek Bard (-7), Jacksonville’s Raul Pereda (-6) finished sixth through eighth. Clark and Petefish tied for ninth with Florida’s J.D. Tomlinson, Mercer’s Trey Rule, Virginia’s Denny McCarthy and Louisville’s Robert Giebel.

COACH Bruce Heppler SAYS – “It was really exciting to see this young group play to the lead on the back nine. We didn’t finish it, but we got right in the middle of it with three holes to play. It was a great experience for each one of our guys. Anders had an outstanding tournament, great to see him coming around.”
