Nissan #ProJackets Golf Report

Feb. 14, 2017

THE FLATS – Veteran PGA Tour star Stewart Cink and rookie Richy Werenski continued to play solid golf and remain on track to make the FedEx Cup playoffs with money finishes last weekend.

Cink, a six-time winner on Tour who is playing this season on a career earnings exemption, made his sixth cut in eight events with a tie for 55th place at the AT&T Pebble Beach open with a 2-under-par score of 285. He is 51st on the FedEx Cup points list as the Tour finishes its West Coast swing this weekend in Los Angeles. Werenski continues to capitalize on his ascension from the Web.com Tour, tying for 58th place at Pebble Beach with a 1-under 286. He ranks 79th in FedEx Cup points.

Both players would make the FedEx Playoffs if they began this week along with Ollie Schniederjans (52nd), Matt Kuchar (97th) and Roberto Castro (124th).

Cink, Matt Kuchar, Bryce Molder, Ollie Schniederjans (off last week) and Cameron Tringale are in the field for this week’s Genesis Open at Riviera Country Club.

Meanwhile, three Tech alumni – Chesson Hadley, Seth Reeves and Anders Albertson – made the cut in the Club Colombia Championship on the Web.com Tour. Hadley tied for 21st place at 6-under-par 278, while Reeves, a rookie, tied for 25th a stroke further back, and Albertson tied for 39th place. Bo Andrews, who qualified to play on the PGA Tour LatinoAmerica, which begins its schedule in Colombia this weekend, qualified on Monday to compete in the Club Colombia Championship and missed the cut.

Former Masters champion Larry Mize, who has won more than $4 million on the PGA Tour Champions, has gotten off to a solid start in 2017, tying for 37th last week at the Allianz Championship and is 43rd in Schwab Cup points this season.

In the second round of the 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Matt Kuchar is all class with this putt for birdie on the par-5 11th hole.

In the opening round of the 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, David Duval just gets his putt to drop from 25 feet out on the par-4 15th hole.
