THE FLATS - Georgia Tech's golf video, which appears on the main golf page at the official athletics website, Ramblinwreck.com, has won a Telly Award for Big Dog Productions, which produced the video.

The video was honored in the category of Internet/Online Marketing - Sports. The video, which is voiced over by former Georgia Tech radio voice Wes Durham, serves as a promotional tool for Tech's incredibly successful and historically rich collegiate golf program, and can also be viewed on the company website.

"We were absolutely thrilled with the work Roger and his team did on this video, which we keep at the front of our golf program's web page," said Tech coach Bruce Heppler. "It is extremely well done, and it's a great promotional tool. Roger and his team have our congratulations for winning a Telly."

The Telly Awards are the premiere awards honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. With nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries in multiple categories, this is truly an honor.

"We are thrilled for this industry recognition," said Roger Manis, Big Dog Productions President. "We are thankful that the Georgia Tech golf staff trusted us with this important project. Video is a powerful marketing tool, and we approach each project with the highest standards possible. We take pride in our client relationships and our creative craftsmanship."

A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work - entries do not compete against each other - rather entries are judged against a high standard of industry excellence and merit.

"The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video," said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards. "Big Dog Productions' accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production."
