@GT_Golf - #ProJackets Update

Aug. 12, 2015

THE FLATS – Chesson Hadley, Matt Kuchar and Cameron Tringale are in the 156-player field for the final major championship of 2015, the PGA Championship, which begins Thursday at Whistling Straits in Mosel, Wis.

Kuchar is No. 28 in FedEx Cup points and No. 16 in the Official World Golf Ranking this week, and has played in the last three Ryder Cup matches for the United States. Tringale is eligible based on his position in the top 70 in PGA Championship points, and Hadley is exempt from his 2014 Puerto Rico Open title on the PGA Tour.

Kuchar and Tringale have played in every major championship in 2015, while Hadley is playing in his first.

Hadley is paired with Rory Sabbatini and Ryan Helminen for the first two rounds (7:45 a.m./1 p.m. ET), while Kuchar will play the first two days with Victor Dubuisson and Charl Schwartzel (8:15 a.m./1:30 p.m.), and Tringale will play with John Senden and Danny Willett (2:40 p.m./9:25 a.m.).

LAST WEEKEND

Matt Kuchar posted his 11th top-25 finish in 20 events this year by tying for 25th place at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, carding an even-par score of 280 at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

At the Barracuda Championship, Roberto Castro (T29), Bryce Molder (T53) and Nicholas Thompson (T56) all made the cut in the modified stableford scoring event, while Troy Matteson and Ollie Schniederjans missed the cut. Schniederjans did, however, record the first hole-in-one of his professional career in the opening round.

On the Web.com Tour, Richard Werenski tied for 33rd (271, -13) in the Digital Ally Open in Overland Park, Kan., while Matt Weibring missed the cut. Werenski has made 11 cuts in 17 events in his rookie year and stands 93rd in earnings.

Bo Andrews tied for 22nd (288, E) in the final eGolf Tour event of the year, and also picked up a check in a local Open Golf Atlanta event on Monday. The eGolf Tour has been purchased and absorbed into the SwingThought.com Tour.

Sloppy day on the course but first Ace on the PGA Tour makes it not all too bad. Lots of golf left… https://t.co/fK3hTgnn7U
