ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech evened its season and ACC record out Friday afternoon with 7-0 rout of Boston College at the Bill Moore Tennis Center. The Jackets earned the doubles point by a 2-1 score and swept all of the singles matches on the day for the perfect score.

The Yellow Jackets earned the doubles point after a hard fought battle at the No. 1 doubles. Dusan Miljevic and Eduardo Segura combined for the easy No. 3 doubles victory over their BC counterparts, 8-2, to start things off. At No. 2 doubles, Vikram Hundal and Sebastian Lopez fell 8-4 to the Eagles leaving it up to the No. 1 pair of Kevin King and Juan Spir.

Both teams went back and forth, each earning a point for their serve to end things with an 8-8 score and force the tiebreaker. Down 4-1, the duo of King and Spir rebounded to earn the 8-6 tiebreaker victory and help Tech to the doubles point.

Spir continued his success in singles play earning the second point of the day for the Jackets. The junior easily took game one by a 6-3 score, falling behind in game two 3-1 before rallying back for the decisive 6-3 victory.

At No. 1 singles, King earned the quick 6-3 first set victory before falling behind in the second set. The senior never gave up, however, and battled back for a 6-4 sweep of his opponent. The same toughness took place on court three where Miljevic fell in the first set by a 3-6 score. He responded in the second set taking it with a 6-3 score of his own. Miljevic fell behind 0-2 in the third set, but scored six unanswered points to rally for the (3-6, 6-3, 6-2) victory and keep Tech undefeated against the Eagles.

Juan Melian also had an easy day earning the 6-1 first set victory and continuing on for a 6-2 second set win at No. 4 singles. Lopez took down his Eagle opponent at No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-2 while Segura battled hard at No. 5 singles on court one winning the first set in a 7-6 (7-3) tiebreak while taking the second set in a 6-3 fashion.

The Jackets will be back in action on Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m. with a meeting with Maryland at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.
